Soko is the most upscale of the restaurants located within the super sleek DusitD2 hotel in central Nairobi. The space can be described as nothing short of cutting edge, stylish, and thoroughly glamorous.
The cuisine is international, and the menu is at the same time simple and sophisticated. You may enjoy more refined dishes such as goat’s cheese crostino and celeriac mashes, or stick to international favourites such as pastas or even a good traditional steak and fries.
Most importantly, the guiding concept at Soko is to use only the finest organic ingredients and seasonally inspired produce. Much of what they serve is healthy and wholesome – opt for a side of quinoa or garden vegetables with your lean baby chicken.
In addition to the a la carte menu there is also the option of a buffet, which we know – doesn’t sound very chic – but happens to be particularly high quality.
The restaurant features a good wine list, with a nice selection from South Africa.
The dress to code is “to impress” at Soko, so ladies bring on your heels and gents polish your shoes.
